Site Development
Following the submission of the planning application in March 2008 to Purbeck District Council, Infinergy has continued to consult with statutory and non-statutory consultees and the local community.
During this consultation process a potential conflict with ecological designation came to light. Infinergy has been liaising very closely with the relevant consultees to take on board their issues. As a result, Infinergy has modified the proposal and plans to resubmit a new planning application to Purbeck District Council.
The revised plans will comprise:
- 4 turbines
- Hub height of up to 84 metres
- Rotor diameter of up to 82 metres
- Total turbine height of up to 125 metres
- Connection to the 33kV Bovington to Wool overhead power line by underground cables
- Substation and control building
- Anemometer mast (met mast)
Purbeck District Council is the planning authority that will decide on this application. Nothing will be built until planning permission has been granted.
